Orange Light!

Since I started driving my car in US, orange light has become significant part of my driving experience. Every day morning, while commuting to and fro from office, I have to cross 11 signals. Atleast one signal turns Orange as soon as I reach near the crossing and then the predicament follows - To go or not to go.
The moment is crutial. In split second, you have to decide whether to brake or accelerate. I always wonder what factors influence my descision. My state of mind, the song playing in the car, the person sitting in the next seat.
How many times I accelerate and how many times I brake.
If there are few people with you (backseat drivers like ....), then the situation becomes more difficult. They will have exactly opposite opinion of what action you take. If you brake, they will say - "Abe aaram se jaa sakata tha!", if you accelerate they will say - "Abe kya kar raha hai. Cop pakadega. Idhar camera hai.".
On a bad day, you end up crossing when the signal turns red. This is very embarassing situation. Once a cop happened to be there watching me cross at red, but I eacaped narrowly. Otherwise Maine to pura plan bana liya tha Points banane ka.
